This home was designed to pay homage to the craftsman-style architecture from the early part of the 20th century that is present in the neighborhood. It is situated on a narrow lot with an orientation that allows it to maximize solar gain and let in winter light that is in short supply during the Pacific NW winters. With it’s generous use of cedar shingles, wood windows and large wood decks, it blends naturally with the forest and native landscape that surrounds it.
